Riegersburg Castle is currently closed Riegersburg geschlossen (Museen, Burginnenräume, Burgtaverne, Burglift, Besucherzentrum/Talstation, Shops haben geschlossen)! Ab dem Saison-Opening am Samstag, den 5. April 2025 hat wieder alles geöffnet.
VIA FERRATA & CASTLE PATH OPEN
Fußweg, Burgareal & Klettersteige bleiben geöffnet, solange es die Witterung zulässt.
Tickets für den Außenbereich (Knappe) sind im Webshop oder vor Ort am Drehkreuz erhältlich.

Welcome to Riegersburg Castle
Proud and mighty, Riegersburg Castle is enthroned on the 482-meter-high volcanic rock from which it overlooks the southeastern Styrian hill country. In all the centuries of its existence, the Riegersburg could never be conquered. Nowadays, the climb up to the castle is much easier, but always an experience.

Riegersburg Castle up close
Discover and explore our three museums in Riegersburg Castle. Admire the magnificent rooms in the Castle Museum and get to know the legendary women of Riegersburg. Immerse yourself in the dark and mysterious chapter of the witch trials in our Witch Museum or take a look at the arsenal of Riegersburg in the Weapon Museum. You can experience the museums even more intensely during guided tours. Guided tours for groups are available upon prior arrangement.

An engraving on a window pane in the Knight's Hall from 1635 testifies to the excesses of long-gone days. Today, culinary delights take center stage.
